Overview
Babage is a holistic lifestyle and consciousness platform — a creator-driven ecosystem where practitioners monetise their expertise. Across verticals like yoga, meditation and breathwork, wellness and nutrition, and spiritual education, creators run their own channels and earn through subscriptions, courses, and direct content sales. It's built so the brand stays broad and accessible rather than locked to any single niche.
I lead the engineering, building the whole platform from scratch with a small team.
Built with an AI-first workflow
The most interesting thing about Babage isn't a single feature — it's how it gets built. We run a small team with AI woven through the entire development process, and the result is a different order of magnitude of output: in a few months, a handful of us have built a platform whose scope would normally take several teams many more months.
This isn't AI churning out throwaway demos. It's AI used with judgement across the whole build — the design, the groundwork, and the unglamorous majority of the work — while a small group of experienced people keeps the product coherent and the quality bar high. The leverage comes from the combination: senior judgement deciding what to build and how it fits together, and AI compressing the time it takes to actually build it.
For me it's the clearest example yet of where software is heading, and of the velocity a small, AI-augmented team can reach when it's set up well. It's also the part of the work I find most exciting right now.
A platform, not a tool
Most creator tools force a trade-off. Course platforms host your videos but leave you isolated from any audience. Subscription tools give you a paywall but no discovery. Babage is built as one ecosystem — subscriptions, structured courses, direct sales, community, and live — under a single holistic brand, so a creator doesn't have to stitch five products together to make a living.
The brand channel — the marketing engine
The biggest structural decision is one most competitors don't have: a platform-run brand channel, with its own subscription, that works as a marketing engine for the whole ecosystem. Instead of every creator being an island who has to bring their own audience, the central channel drives discovery and funnels members toward individual creators. It turns the platform itself into a growth loop rather than a passive marketplace.
Creator-first economics
Underneath the product sits a real-money system, built so creators keep the lion's share — 80% of gross. Several revenue streams run in parallel: recurring per-creator subscriptions, one-time course purchases, individually priced content sold directly in messages, and the platform's own brand-channel subscription. Money is the part of any platform that has to be right every single time, so payouts, subscriptions, and purchases are all designed to settle correctly and stay auditable from day one.
Where it's going
Babage is live and steadily adding capabilities — ticketed live sessions, a platform-wide premium tier, and commerce are on the way. The shape is deliberate: a holistic, creator-first wellness platform that gives practitioners the tools, the economics, and the audience to build a real business around their practice.
